Old Stone Furniture is a one man shop housed in a 19th
century barn not far from the banks of the Housatonic river in CT.
The furniture is made by hand from white pine using traditional joinery
methods, and square cut nails. The inspiration for the furniture
comes mainly from the homes of the mid 19th century farmers of New
England, Pennsylvania, New York and Ohio. Many of the pieces are
direct reproductions of antiques from that time and place. Their
furniture was simple, honest, sometimes crude and sometimes very elegant,
but most importantly always strong and useful. It was furniture that
could stand up to everyday use on the farm and still provide some color
and beauty. All of my furniture is painted with authentic milk paint
just as it was then. Please feel free to
contact me if you are interested in the furniture or have any
questions. I only sell my furniture wholesale so if you are not a
retailer let me know where you are located and I can tell you where the
nearest retailer is. |
